Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai

Wow! It was so hot that we didn't want to leave Shanghai, so we decided to enjoy the scenery by the Huangpu River. With both young and old in our family, we booked the Shangri-La. We originally had a room in the Pujiang Tower, but the front desk lady recommended an upgrade, and we ended up with a Zijing Executive River View Room. It basically included three meals! We could have breakfast on the 2nd and 29th floors with the Zijing Executive River View, and afternoon tea and happy hour at the Zijing Grand Hall. Next door is Super Brand Mall, a place where kids can play all day. In the evening, after a big meal, we could stroll along the riverside. On weekends, there's even a Kid's Zone on the 4th floor. We booked from Tuesday to Thursday, though, so we missed out on that. 😂😂😂 The pool is open from 6 AM to 10 PM, and the gym is 24 hours. The staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were super nice. We'll definitely be back next year when we return to China. My mom said it was so comfortable and perfect for both seniors and kids. The buffet breakfast on the 2nd floor even had ice cream, which the kids loved! The housekeeping staff were also incredibly nice.

The hotel is right next to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and downstairs is Binjiang Park, which is perfect for an evening stroll and watching the sunset. You can also gaze at the Bund's historic buildings across the river. The hotel even gave us a free upgrade to a river-view room, which was a nice touch!

The hotel's location is excellent. We stayed for two nights, and the front desk staff, particularly Mr. Song Zhiqiang, was kind enough to upgrade our room for one night. Unfortunately, we didn't get a room directly facing the Bund's historic buildings. The breakfast was rich and delicious. My daughter and I also bought a group deal for the Thursday seafood buffet dinner, which was very tasty. A special thanks to the ladies at the pastry shop; they were incredibly enthusiastic. We couldn't finish both light meal sets in the evening, so they proactively stored one for us to pick up after checking out the next day!

My stay at Pudong Shangri-La was a fantastic experience from check-in to check-out! A big thank you to Maisie and Lucas for their warm hospitality and excellent service. Although the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities are very well-maintained, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was delicious~

Overall, a great stay. The room was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept really well. Betty at the front desk was warm and attentive, and even upgraded my room. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, and it offers excellent value for money. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time, highly recommended!

The front desk upgraded our room, and as always, the service was consistently excellent. The location is convenient, the view is great, and Leia and Jennifer at the front desk were very welcoming.

I especially want to commend the service; it was thoughtful and enthusiastic without being overbearing. They even upgraded us to a river view suite for free! A special shout-out to Jasmine and Maisie for their excellent service.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. My room was upgraded, and the facilities are comprehensive, making it perfect for business trips. The welcome fruit was especially good, with a rich variety – 5 or 6 different kinds, I forgot to take a picture. It might be fruit season in autumn, they put a lot of thought into it. I also want to thank Ella at the front desk; her work was meticulous, and her service was professional, which left a great impression.
